It’s very easy to make vanilla fudge. There are many different fudge recipes, but the main ingredients needed in making basic vanilla fudge confectionery include milk, powdered sugar, unsalted butter, and vanilla extract. Cocoa or drinking chocolate can be added to get a chocolate flavor when making vanilla chocolate fudge or plain chocolate fudge.

To begin with, powdered sugar and butter are added to milk in a saucepan, which is put on low heat. The mixture is stirred constantly while heating to prevent the milk from burning and the sugar from sticking to the bottom of the pan. Stirring also helps to completely dissolve the sugar and butter. When the milk reaches the boiling point, it is necessary to stop stirring; if any further agitation is carried out at this point, the sugar crystals dissolved in the milk will form again, which will eventually give the vanilla fudge a grainy texture instead of the characteristic smooth and creamy texture that is needed.
Lower the heat and let the milk boil a little. As soon as the milk begins to thicken, the pan must be removed from the heat and vanilla extract must be added to the milk. Fruits, nuts, marshmallows and cocoa can also be added to the mix at this point, if desired.
The milk should be allowed to cool and thicken a little more, and then it should be stirred again. It is then placed on a flat tray previously greased with butter and the liquid chocolate sauce must be left to set, at room temperature on a counter or in the refrigerator. After the vanilla fudge has hardened, it can be cut into square pieces of the desired size. These can be eaten right away or stored in airtight containers.
